The following are some important notes regarding tomorrow’s ceremonies:
Investiture Ceremony
Cubs and leaders: there will be a practice for the Investiture Ceremony at 12:30. Please meet in the lower chapel.
The Investiture Ceremony will begin at 1:00 PM. Cubs and all leaders will meet in the sacristy for the procession.
Family members and guests should sit as close to the front as possible as a baptism will be taking place. The front rows of pews will be reserved for the Dens. Another pew will be reserved for the leaders (other than Den Leaders, who will sit with their dens).
Each Den will have their own pew. When sitting in the pew, the Den Leaders will be the last to sit in the pew (they will be nearest the aisle). When getting out of the pew, they will lead the way.
As a part of the Investiture Ceremony, your son will be at the altar rail and will recite the Cub Scout Promise. Please review the Cub Scout Promise with him. When you practice, also practice the proper form (standing, giving the Cub Scout sign).
When the ceremony is finished, please exit through the side doors on the left side of the church, in case the baptism is still taking place. As we head downstairs, four leaders should bring the flags and stands down to Schuler Hall. They will need to be set up in front (south end of Schuler Hall).
Commissioning Ceremony
As we head down to Schuler Hall, we should all sit towards the south end of Schuler Hall. Families are encouraged to sit together. Father Ubel and Michael Misner-Elias will be conducting the ceremony. All leaders will have a small role in the ceremony.
Following the ceremony will be a brief reception.
Congratulations, we officially started a Cub Scout Pack at the Church of Saint Agnes!
